CORN SNAKE

The corn snake is a slender, non-venomous snake commonly found throughout the south eastern United States. It gets its name from the checkered pattern on its belly, which resembles kernels of corn. These snakes are excellent climbers and are often seen in barns and abandoned buildings, where they help control rodent populations. Their calm nature, manageable size, and attractive colour variations make them popular pets. In the wild, corn snakes lay large clutches of eggs, and their natural camouflage helps them avoid predators like hawks and raccoons.
