Junior Animal Academy will be running as a single day course offering children the chance to come and learn all about the different animals we keep here at BCA.
Come along for a fun filled day whilst learning about some of the animals we have here at BCA.
Discover and Understand:
- Animal needs and their care
- How to create fun and enriching activities that help keep the animals happy, healthy and busy
- Threats to animals in the wild
& what zoos do to protect them
Students will spend time on each of our sections, livestock, exotics (reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates) and the zoo court yard. They will be expected to get stuck in learning a range of skills from animal husbandry, such as cleaning and feeding, to health checks and handling along the way. They will also learn about conservation and how to help protect the planet
